Incredible entertainment

Jessica Baker, featured artist at Home Sweet Home, a Music and Food Festival at DeSoto Caverns

Jessica Baker

Jessica Baker is a powerhouse singer with a crystal clear message to inspire all those that encounter her passion. She's been singing since she was a child, but did not start singing publicly until she was about 13. She started singing in church and eventually doors began to open at different events, whether it was park festivals or sporting events.

Jessica says, "One of the greatest honors is being able to sing our national anthem, the Star Spangled Banner. I hold it very close to my heart! So far, I have had the wonderful opportunity of singing it at the University of Alabama softball and baseball teams, as well as the Birmingham Barons and the Huntsville Havoc. I write songs and hope they can be an inspiration and encouragement to anyone who listens. I truly believe when you are given a gift or a talent, the only way to find fulfillment in your life is to share it with others."

Keegan Bost

Introducing Keegan Bost, the 17 year old with a guitar, smooth vibrato, and the rasp that gives everybody chills.  It’s his soulful passion that you will feel, and that's what sets him apart from every other teen with a heart throb haircut.

A few years ago, he was more content behind the drums, keeping rhythm for his sister’s garage band. But after she taught him a few chords on his ukulele at 13, he discovered his voice and wrote his first song.  Following artists like Pentatonix, Bruno Mars, Ron Pope, and Gavin DeGraw, Keegan quickly picked up the guitar and started performing at birthday parties and weddings. Since then, it’s been nothing but downstage-center and full speed ahead for him. His set consists mostly of himself and his guitar playing a variety of acoustic music. Some have compared his style to artists like Ben Rector, Ed Sheeran, and James Bay. He debuted a few of his originals at Eddie’s Attic in Atlanta, where he was a finalist in their Open Mic Night.  Most recently, he won a spot in the Open Mic Sing-off at Moonlight on the Mountain in Hoover, AL.  You can discover him on all social media sites under Keegan Bost.

Nitrate City

The most accurate term to describe Nitrate City would be one that was penned decades ago. The term "Power Trio" was used to describe the "less is more" approach of acts such as The James Gang, The Jimi Hendrix Experience and Cream.

Nitrate City is a rarity in today's live music scene in that they bring the power trio concept into the acoustic realm. The iconic trio acts of the past, along with a deep interest in the "Brother Duet" acts like the Louvin Brothers, inspired Jeff Allredge (on right) to found this all acoustic trio. Jeff's mutual appreciation of acoustic music and tight two part harmony with co-founder Steve Powell (on left) launched this vision that became Nitrate City.

Tight vocal harmonies are blended are blended with the drive of the guitar and mandolin through the pulse of the upright bassist Cindy Allredge. Cindy developed her skills of holding down the low end with her involvement in the bluegrass scene. This "grass roots" approach to the foundation of the sound was a perfect blend for this acoustic power trio concept.

Nikki McLeod.jpg

Nikki McLeod

Country music has a long-standing tradition of storytelling, and that's what inspired Nikki McLeod to become a songwriter. Hailing from a small North Dakota town (pop. 14), Nikki fell in love with country music because it was relevant to her world. When she was 11, she transitioned from writing poetry to writing songs, and she hasn't slowed down since! After moving around the country training horses while completing college, she moved to Alabama to run a cattle ranch and begin co-writing. Within a year, her passion for performing drove her to pursue music full time. Nikki's faith, drive, and farm-raised work ethic has been crucial in her journey so far. She recently finished her 12-song debut album, Some Kinda Reckless, and plans to start touring the nation this fall, both performing and sharing her story in churches. She's got a fantastic partner-in-crime to go with, her PTSD service dog Dixon. The two of them sincerely hope that their story and music will have an impact on everyone they meet.
